Default good head for 5.3

what casting head is good for an 5.3..i wana up c/r i have an 2000 5.3

You can run 243's milled .030 with a .040 gasket, it'll get you to about 9.9:1... that's what I did.

what would the c/r be with stock 243s...everything im using on 5.3 im putting on the 6.0 im planing on l8er when money right

Prc 2.5 r nice mine r in the mail ill have 9.9:1 too rough but they cost more tho

Bone stock 243's you'd drop to roughly 9.1:1

You can put 243's milled .03 on a 6L, that's the most they can be milled though.

this is ur best option if u want to up c/r and get better flowing heads.. or u can just mill what u have.. but if ur gonna take them off might as well upgrade..

im really wanting 243..so when i get the 6.0 lq9 i have an ls2 iron block...but for its 5.3 till i get the 6.0 or the 5.3 blow...but my cuz has an comp cam i can get for 175 the lift info is..(246/253 595/595) 110 lope....

That cam is WAY too big for a 5.3, and probably too big for 6.0 in a pickup .... unless you want to run a 4k+ stall and spin it to 7500 RPM.

Maybe the 110 LSA will move the curve far enough to the left, but I really doubt it.
