Exactly, people always have to find something negative. IMO thats sweet and i'm sure its exactly what they were going for when they built it. So congrats on the numbers if you ask me!

thats badass and all, but the trq was almost 400 less than the hp...trq is where its at in my o/p...
plus i like to have a proportional amout of both, but prefer more bottom end..

You guys need to understand this is for a 2500 lb race car. If they wanted to build a torquey truck motor i am sure they could probably build one better than almost anybody on this board. A 6000 rpm max torquey motor isn't going to do anything in that car. You need to look at the purpose behind it. Low rpm torque means almost nothing in a car like that, so why waste the top end hp for something you don't need. Nascar engines have nothing below 5000 rpm, you think its because they don't know much about what they are doing?
