Had to zoom in on paper pic.
I've never had any with that wide of a range of clearances.
I use a tube mic to measure bearing shells with and they are all within .0002"
i measure them and write on the box when I get them and put on shelf. I've only ever used king bearings tho.

This next methanol one doing for my buddys car is a 400ci Dart LS Next block filled to deck surface, Bryant billet crank 3.750" stroke, diamond 4.125" pistons, MGP Alum rods, some thick deck billet dry heads can't rem what brand, Smallwood solid roller big journal cam. Block bored and bushed for the big Chrysler lifters and roller cam bearings.
The intake, 135mm throttle body, and some super secret billet 120mm turbo are suppose to be good for 3300-3400hp and 10,000-11,000 rpms or something crazy.
the idea was to kill the NA torque down low and use the rpms to make the power and get it going.
I just said ok haha.
the dang car weighed 2190# with driver and the old turbo LS 427. It ran 4.91 on the back tire on 8psi boost. Wrecked it and sold that motor and turbo to build this next monster.

That sounds pretty cool! Like, get your heart checked by a doctor before you ride that car, cool! 🫣
I just dropped off the stuff at the machine shop to get it balanced. It'll take like a week to get it done.

Yea I have no want to go that kinda fast. I just push buttons on the laptop before a pass and enjoy it that way.

I went to pick up the crank today. The guy had called me yesterday saying that it wouldn't balance because there wasn't enough counterbalance. He asked if it was from a 5.3 and I said yes.
So he said he'd have to drill and add the slugs to get it balanced.

Yes. It is balanced. There was extra for materials and labor, which was fine. I talked to guy briefly and he said the same thing happened in the old days with the SBC: guys didn't know better and used a 350 crank in a 305 engine and they have vibration issues.
Makes perfect sense now. The larger bore cylinders of the 6.0 would obviously be a bit heavier than the 5.3 pistons, so the factory cranks are balanced to each. Mix and matching like I'm doing here requires extra work to get stuff matched.
Well, i guess I need to put everything together now. I'll do the plastic tote soap dunk and get everything clean over the weekend.
Thanks for everyone's help!

I use any 5.3 5.7 6.0 and 6.2 crank I can get my hands on and just tell the machine shop to balance it. Haha. Never asked any questions. Sometimes they have lightening spot drills and some has Mallory added.

Heavy weight can be expensive and add cost to the balance job...
But probably not as much as telling them the rotating assembly is for a Duramax... The price instantly doubled for me... My normal shop didn't have enough bob weight so we sent it out... Lesson learned on that one.
