The stock crank and rods are pretty strong, maybe just add APR rod bolts. If the motor has some miles on it, I would get new cam, rod, and main bearings. Have a machine shop check the cylinders, you might need them honed or bored. If so, then get forged pistons. Boring it out .030" will make 370 cubes. No, the stock pistons can't be used if you oversize the bores. Stock rod length is 6.098" Of course head work will flow better. Think that covers your questions.

So the crank needs to be polished. I am going to have the machine shop assemble the engine now I think. Still thinking just going with forged from the get go. Keep going back and forth

so what did u end up doing with it? i have a 6.0 block that would need to be machined but still decideing what to do with it.
