havent had any issues with my 5.3 stroker but im not running a eagle rotating assembly

also motorcraft magazine did a 383 5.3L build and ran a front mount that made 1000+ hp

The only reason I see this as a good option is if you were trying to keep "numbers matching." But not sure that the Vin is on the engine. Is there such an issue?

i only kept the 5.3 block because i hate being like everyone else. everyone does turbo 6.0 or stroker 6.0. not alot of people are willing to do a 383. so i said to hell with what everyone else does lets try a different path. i still can pull alot out of the 383. if i wasnt running 11.5:1 i would supercharge it. but for what i do with the truck its perfect for me. and the rods and crank will work in a 6.0 if i recall correctly so i can still do a 408 later if i choose.

I like the 383's b/c they remind me of the old school 383 which were the most popular bad A small block back in the day, minus the 400, but it wasn't near as popular
