So, if I keep the same cam and just swap to L92 heads/intake, I should see improvement and peak hp should happen at higher rpm.

here is the dyno sheet of mine with the WCCH L92's with a 229/239 dur cam using the stock truck intake.

What cc of L92 heads did you run and what pushrod length? Who spec'ed your cam?

I bought a complete L92 intake with fuel rails and DBW throttle body. I also bought Drx adapter harness.

I am still not sure if I should swap my TR224 or keep it when swaping to L92 heads. If I swap the camshaft, it will be 236/342 and I will get Vig 2800 or 3000 stall TC.

I want to say 76cc, the pushrods are .050 longer and i spec'd the cam out. I used the same intake with the above posted dyno.

I would recomend trying your exsisting cam first before the other. Our trucks are not very light.

wow, 400hp/450tq is really quite pathetic (no insult intended) from 427CIs.....

get rid of:
- cam
- heads
- intake
- manual cooling fan

Well when you think about it it's about 500 shaft hp and 550 tq. That's about par with a Z06 so it's not alll that shabby

Exactly, actually better than a ZO6 for a truck, being that you have the ~550 lbft of torque!

My truck is only 4290Ibs being RCSB stepside 1500. If I can avoid the cost of the cam $400+cam installation cost, it would be better. But I am afraid to go back again and redo the cam.
