Do i need a TC for this?

hi there guys... i have a 09 yukon denali i wanna know whether or not this cam needs a torque converter.. im planning to install this cam with long tube headers and a ported CNC L92 head

Its gonna be an even bigger turd then a stock Denali. If you want that thing to feel like a rocket, you should do the converter first! Then cam it later when the fun from the new converter wears off. You would LOVE a Yank in that AWD SUV. Do a Yank Pro Truck 3200. That cam is a bad idea in a truck that heavy. You should have a torque goal at 3000, not a HP goal at 6500, which HP#'s is what that setup is gonna produce. Lets face it in a truck that heavy your not gonna get anybody on the big end! 2009 Denalli's come thing L92's there is no reason to waste money on a CNC'd pair, Moral of the story is: stall should come first with a the cam being a last mod on the list and not that cam...

agreed that it's a bad idea. I wouldn't run one that big in my ECSB much less a Denali.
The bigger the duration the less low end torque you are going to have. Meaning your engine is going to have to hit higher rpms before that rig starts to move.
