Default Couple of quick questions

Just a couple of quick questions to try to shut up at least one of the voices in the back of my head.

Working on a 05 lq4 and I bought a new cam retainer plate from BTR. Old cam plate had the regular style bolt holes and new plate has counter sunk bolt holes. I am using an ARP bolt for the top bolt and the button head bolts that come with the Trick Flow dampener for the other 3. Is this going to work ok or do I need to find an old style cam retainer plate?

I am using a ported and blueprinted ls6 style oil pump from Tick Performance and thougt the oil pickup tube fit a little loose even with the o ring supplied with the oil pump. Anyone have any experience with these pumps?

I think that retainer plate should work. I know a few guys running it along with the trick flow timing chain guide.
