Also if you port your heads do you raise or lower compression? Does anyone know of a general hp/tq figure for porting heads? Does the cfm flow rate relate to power gains?

 

Your compression ratio will not change at all unless you mill the heads down.

 

when did this happen I know a decent mechanic if you dont want to do the h/c swap yourself, he is very reasonable. Pm me if your interested.

but anyway, porting and polishing your stock heads is a great mod,it does everything thats been said and it really accerlates the output you will get from an aftermarket cam as well.
