Default compcams xr265

is this cam better for spray or boost? leaning towards the latter so hopefully i didnt make a hastey decision putting in cam, as it is not likely that i will do the swap again. was gonna build n/a motor but requires lots of time and money for little reward. i knew this when i started i just didnt realize how hard it actually was to tack on 100 hp n/a. recommendations please.

depends mainly on LSA of the cam. any cam is a good nitrous cam, most go with a bit higher duration than that with boost, and a 115-117 LSA.

lower LSA = tougher to tune.

the cam is on 115lsa, but the lower duration of this cam shouldnt hurt though since it is a definate improvement over stock, right?

it is a nice starter cam, well for me anyway... nice pull from mid to top, but around a couple weeks later ull want to get something bigger.... i don't tow anything, so my opinion is purely from a street racing angle.. i need something that keeps me pulling right the way to my shifts! this dies down after around 5K rpm, but again still better then stock!

I loved it when I had it in my truck. Made 300+rwhp and got 20+mpg and had a pretty good sound to it and was pretty easy for tyler to tune. Definitely a good starter cam. Mine did like the sauce
