well, further research shows that the 7638-16 is a "Magnum" pushrod and the 7955-16 is a "Hi-Tech" pushrod
It appears that the Hi-Tech series has tapered ends and the Magnum series do not...
the 7955-16 are listed as genIII, which I knew...but the Magnum has no LSx listings...

The only difference between the two p/n's that you listed is that the Hi-Techs use a "cleaner" material and are a lil' stronger and stiffer than the Magnums.

Other than the markings....they "look" identical.

I think we need to run hi-tech. I have some magnum lifters and hi-tech pushrod.
