That Comp Cam is a little more than the '01 LS6 cam in duration and lift. The '01 LS6 is 207/217 .525/.525 with 116*LSA. The GM cam is a bit milder and should run smooth. That's the cam I want for my daily driver, it's on my wish list. Crane makes one too, same as the Vinci 044. It's 210/218 .531/.531 114* (Crane makes the Vinci cams). They're all pretty similar.

How is the idle with this CompCam? I want a cam that sounds like it is there.

You Can Hear A 216/220 In A 5.3 Sounds Realy Good. Now I Have The 216/220 With 1.85 Rockers Witch Gives Me 571/579 Lift If I Figure It Right.but U Can Still Hear That It Is Cam Just Not As Much.

Where I live they just instituted the sniffer test this year, so have that to consider. Also, I don't race around as much as you guys so need a cam that doesn't rob low RPM torque. Figure moderate duration and lift will be fine, like the Comp or LS6 cam. Seems the 112* cams are lopey, 114* is less lopey. Kinda all deponds on other factors too. The TR cams are really popular for the racing crowd.
