O.K, I am about ready to begin the 5.3 build. I just need to get a few more parts. Here is what the 5.3 will consist of:

2001 5.3 stock bottom end
2005 799's milled .030 with .040 gasket
Manley stainless steel valves
PRC .650 springs w/ ti retainers
Comp Cams double roller timing chain
Comp Cam custom grind Cam
Duration @ .050 220.00 230.00
Lobe 115
New oil pump (to be on the safe side)
Roots blower (not decided on brand yet)

Need to think about push rods and will go with stock lifters.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.

All of this will go into a 1993 SBRC

 

I would definally put LS7 lifters in it
