Cammed 6.0 guys.....
I just had a cam installed and thinking about swapping it out already. My wife wants something bigger. It made 391/379. Its a Compcam and the specs are, 224/230 with a lsa of 114.
When I talked to the shop I explained I was looking for a nice lope without drivability issues so my wife wouldn't complain. I'm just looking for some advice for those of you with bigger cams and how you like it?

A lot of times the more conservative cams end up performing almost as well as the bigger ones. There are guys in ext cab 6.0's running 12's with the same converter you have and cams that are only a HAIR bigger. They also dont have compression thats quite as high as yours with that LS2 and are probably making less power. I'm curious what it is about this cam that makes you want to change it out already too.
If its the sound you want get a cut out and drop the idle a little , it'll lope nice and hard when you crank up the volume.
Do you have a 2wd or Awd SS?

It is a 2wd and the lift is 581/592.
Today I went back to the shop and had them drop the idle alittle. The sound seems to be growing on her. She loves the aggressive sound but the power isn't so important. Personally I want both, lol. I'm pretty sure she can live with it but now I'm thinking of using this excuse to get what I want.
Any thoughts on the MS3 or something similar? I was told it was the most aggressive I could go without drivability issues. Specs:
237/242
.603/.609
112 lsa

I say you run it for a while. I'm willing to bet it lopes harder than youre giving it credit for right now, and its probably clean as hell. I have a 222/226 and mine is definitely noticable, but I have my idle turned way down to almost 600
Again, toss an E cut out in there and it would sound like a beast at Idle.
I'd also run it at the track before you decide you left a ton on the table performance wise. When you say bolt ons I assume you have headers too right?
That cam you tossed out there is too much for a DD IMO also. It would be sloppy on the street and your gas mileage would really suffer.
