Think long and hard about a cam swap. I like the performance of my cam, past idle, but not the additional valve train noise and idling issues. I doubt seriously anything that will give you noticable gains will leave your truck feeling stock. I thought about trading my truck in for a 6.0L and doing some basic bolt ons and a tune because of the issues I have. My truck keeps throwing misfire codes (maybe false). Alot of guys have tuning problems after a cam swap. There can be so many variables to adjust as a result of a cam swap.

I suggest if you do a cam swap, get a tuning program so you can email logs to a tuner and receive tunes via email vs. mail.

Basically, do not expect a cam to idle like stock and prepare to have tuning issues.

I am not saying don't do it, just expect a different and more aggressive idle.

Oh yeah, I suggest doing cam swaps when your truck is out of warranty or close to being out of warranty.
