well just decided to get the ls6 cam from the stealership, not too bad 257.00 bucks, with my buddies discount and they are delivering it to us. They quoted me 307.00 for a deal , he said they list for 400.00 I just need to get this thing back together before some weather hits since my streetrod has become my DD for the past 2 days, lol.

Do you have your lifters supported? Its common to let them hang in the lifter cups when swapping cams, but I would not want it stay like that for days while you source out a new cam.

Be patient, the cam swap will be well worth it. Its going to really wake up your upper rpm powerband.

Good luck with the swap. The GT2-3 used to be 250.00, oh well.

Ya know I wonder how easy it is to bend one of these billet cams, guess this proves it's possible. I just got my new cam the other day and couldn't believe that it didn't have much "protection" around it, just a box around the cam box itself. It came directly from the manufacture so I figured they knew what they were doing???? This kinda thing happened in the "ole days" with camshafts thats why you never bought used, that and the lifters had to stay matched to the lobe it was broke in on.
