cam help!!!

Default cam help!!!

i bought a camshaft off a budy for my truck its a 4.8 with headers no cats and a k&n cold air intake i was told the cam was around 530 lift but after gettting it the side of the box said .623 lift lube sep 113 i dont even think it would work in my 4.8

why don't you just call your buddy and ask him if the specs on the box are the specs of the cam he sold you.

are there numbers stamped on the end of the cam
Call the maker of the cam

so yeah i called comp cams and they told me that the number on the camshaft and they told me that it was not from them and they asked me to read the number i told them was 1721 3 05 05225 with a some laser etched stuff on the other side they said it sounded like a gm cam i looked all over gmpp and cant find the cam

If I were you, I would make a phone call to your buddy and see what it is. Sounds like he's not telling you the truth about what he sold you.

If you know a local machine shop with a cam doctor you could have it checked and at least get the specs on the cam, even if you don't know the manufacturer. My father has a cam doctor, it's a very cool tool

i guess i will try that see the cam i bought my friends friend told him about it and i dont know the guy i tried calling his phone and its disconnected man this sucks
