Search both here and the GM Performance and Exhaust section and you'll find pages and pages of info....

The 220/220 cams seem to work real well in the 5.3's, I'd match it with about a 3k converter.

Depends what you wanna do with it. If you're not pullin with it I would recommend a texas speed 228r cam with a 3600 stall

not planning on pullin anything with it am planning on running a hundred and fifty shot of nitrous wanting it to perform really well and still be able to drive it as a daily driver
kinda thinking about 212/218 would that be too much?

I wouldnt **** around with a cam that small. IMO

We put one in my friends truck and you could hardly feel a difference.

I would get something with 220-224 degrees of duration and get a converter in the 32-3600 area.

I had a 222/224 in my 5.3 and with a 3400 or 3600 that would have been a really fun combo.

My bro is runnin a comp xe-r 232/236 601 112LSA with 125 shot on a stock long block as a daily driver with no problems... If you want a safe setup for a 150 shot i agree with the other guy, texas speed 224r with a 3200 to 3400 stall

"still be able to drive it as a daily driver"

No one can answer this part but you. Hell, I know guys that think a 24x/25x is fine for a DD (and then they run like a 4200 stall -- also "fine" lol.

Most of what makes a cam "good" as a daily driver is the quality of your tune. Quick, cheap tune = poor DD characteristics in most cases. Expensive, lot-of-time-invested tune = excellent DD.

I agree with TurboBerserker, my bro had a 221 221 558 558 114 cam before this one and his 232/236 actually seems more driveable than his 221 and the only thing we can think of is the tuning. If you have a good tuner than get a big cam...
