well thats weird why ur putting down 310rwhp and 335ft.lb. of torque i only put down 270rwhp and 289ft.lb of torque with my 5.3l with with cam and bolt on's, thats probably at the flywheel not rear wheels but anyway my buddy put a 212/218 in his 5.3 and that thing has wicked low end power and its good up top too, he ran a 13.9 in the 1/4 with that cam, long tubes, tune with stock converter and 3.42's. but his truck is also a scsb. but sounds like the cam you might be looking for

I would suggest that 212/218 but he's also running Pacesetters...Unless he plans on running an aftermarket converter, he may want to drop duration a bit or either get some smaller headers...Those pacesetters in a heavy truck have to kill bottom end.

you dont need one but a 3000 would be great with it. you could run a lower stall as well...this cam doesnt deprive you of bottom end power.
