Budget 5.3 build
I am looking to do a budget 5.3 build for my daily. I want to push around 500hp.
So far here are my plans
Comp cam XR275HR - $400
West Coast CylinderHeads ported 5.3 heads - $1312
Sealed Power MA series main bearings - $77
Sealed Power CH series Rod bearings - $65
Fel Pro conversion gasket set - $120
Fel Pro head gasket set - $175
ARP pro series head stud set - $160
ARP intake bolt set - $37
ARP cam bolts - $9
ARP valve cover bolts - $55
Valve cover - $150
I am considering either boring it and making a 383 striker build or going with a single turbo kit from On3. I can't decide what to do. My reason for wanting to do the 383 is because I thought it was going to be cheaper but after pricing out the rotating assembly on summit it seems like it's gonna cost about $3000 on top of what I have listed either way. What would you do and why?
Oh and I plan on putting a 4L80E rated for 750hp behind it from monster transmissions as well.

If that's all the power you are after you are better off just buying some 243/799 take off cylinder heads to raise compression and be like 500-700 dollars cheaper than some ported heads. Those 243/799's flow stupid good and there is no need to fork over more money than you need too, after all this is a budget build like you say.
I'd suggest a different turbo kit than On3 or buy a KB racing/Trick Turbo manifold and build your own kit. Both those guys sells full kits as well.
Don't forget you'll need some 60-80lb/hr injectors, 2 bar map sensor, larger fuel pump.
