I have a crank, rods, and pistons that are gonna be sitting for awhile now that I had to buy a new tranny. What is the best way to store these so I don't get rust or anything?

the pistons are fine in there own box.
go to Walmart and pick up a large plastic container with a lid that everything will fit in,
and a bag of cedar chips that is used to line a hamsters cage.
line the bottom of the container with the cedar chips this will draw all the moisture out of the air inside the container.
coat the crank and rods in 30 or 40 weight oil, place them inside trash bags and tie them up.
place everything inside the container and seal it up.
if this is going to sit longer then 4 months, take them out and coat again with oil then your good for another 4 months
