Default best heads $1200 or cheaper

looking for the best heads for 1200 bucks or cheaper for an lq4. any suggestions? **not looking for anything that i have to switch the intake or anything else such as the l92 heads.

for the price either one will work:

1) Stage 2.5 - 5.3 heads from TSP
2) Sage 1 - LS6 heads from TSP

i think the stage 2.5 5.3s will raise the compression up a good bit

243's get a local P&P and a valve job. ...
and you'll have enought left for some good springs...

I'd put your money towards a stock set of 243's with a GREAT valve job and a touch of bowl work. This setup with often times outperform and be more reliable than a lot of CNC heads offered out there.

I'm not sure but I think the tfs as cast 220's are around that price
