.. I use ARP ultra torque but I think engine oil will do just fine , consedring the tq they tested was 210ft-lbs , 245 ft-lbs then 270 ft-lbs, wich in LS engines not used on every thing but the pulley bolt

i used thread sealant on the threads and molly lube on the head of the bolts i just didn't know if there was coolant going threw the head bolts like the old style gen1 SBC and im using ARP ones

no need for thread seals on these motors , head gaskets do the job just fine

thats with all bolts , OEM or ARP , never had a problem with either one of them.
