Default 6.0 swap questions

What's everyone's thoughts on a 6.0 with 5.3 heads,227/235 .614/.621 on a 113 cam in a rcsb with a 4l80e? Probably go with a 410 gear. Will the cam perform well and what convertor should I run? I want something that runs good and has a nice chop to it.

That's a alot of lift for a cam in a truck, I'd think a BTR stage 4 came with low lift would be better. It's a 224/230 111+2. Will be easier on the valvetrain for sure.

3000-3200 stall.

I already have the cam, link bar lifters, valve spring kit and trunnion upgrade that I got with a 5.3 motor that I bought. Was just wondering if the cam was a good fit for a 6.0. Comp says it's a great cam for a 5.3. And the truck isn'ta daily just a toy. Not dead set on the heads either just have them already and the 6.0 was purchased as a short block.

Sure, go for it. You already have it, may as well just use it.

To me who cares if it's not the perfect cam for every situation. I think too many people get caught up in how the cam will perform with every other mod they have or minor things like that. This doesn't seem like an all out horsepower build so I'd just run with it.

Are the 5.3 heads 706 or 799/243 casting? If they are 706 I would definitely spring for 799/243 heads for a bit better flow if your going NA or spray or find 317 heads if you want to boost. Get the heads ported if you want to take advantage of all that extra cam lift......

Would the l92 heads be a better fit for this setup or the 799's?

799's, wouldn't even consider a square port head for this. Besides you'd have to buy a whole different intake just to run them.
