by the way i found a a guy with 2005 corvette C6 that is will to give me his crank, so that wouldnt work too right?

if you can change them, you can swap yours onto the lq4 crank, but I really don't know, maybe do a search on ls1tech.
edit: here ya go:

Just get a 54 tooth reluctor wheel and have 24 tooth switched out, any machine shop can do it. The knock sensors wont be touched since he will still be using an LQ4 so I dont know where any of ya'll got that he has to mess with the knock sensors. The 4.8 crank has a shorter stroke then the rest of the LSx family. The reluctor ring is just tack welded on to the crank butt, it just has be welded perfectly perpendicular to the centerline of the crank.

Guess when I looked over the new trucks at the dealer I didnt see the knock sensors on the side. Looks like you will splicing some wires.
Maybe the first few NBS 07s didnt have the LS2 esque iron block motors in there because I really think I would have noticed the cam sensor sticking out of the front t-chain cover.

actually the knock sensor is diffrent than the one in the gen 3 motors. that is not the issue anymore because i fixed it in a way that the wires are sticking up the front like the ones in the gen 4. the real problem is that cant find a used 06 ls2 cranck and if i do how can i balance it to meet the weight of the pistons and rods as you have said.

I ahve a set of 05 LS2 rods with LQ4 pistons on them, Ill measure one at work to the nearest tenth of a gram for you, that will be plenty close enough to bob weight the crank for balancing. At this point though you got to ask yourself owuld it better to just build a real motor, since you are going to have to check bearing tolerances all over again and find a crank anyway. You can get a forged crank with the right reluctor from Eagle for about 700.
