Question which 6.0
is the 6.0 out of a 2500hd 2002 a straight swap or does it have the longer crank bolt?

2002 has the short crank, remove the spacer and 6.0 flexplate and use the 5.3 flexplate if your using the 4l60e.

when were there differences? sound like an easy fix but what years are a direct bolt to a 4l60e?

None are direct bolt ons, if you want to use a 60e you need to swap out the flexplate.

99-00 6.0's have the longer crank, they also have iron heads. 01'+ have the standard crank that used a spacer between the crank flange/flexplate to compensate.
