5.3L cam
#1
I'm thinking about putting a cam in my truck. Im not looking for all out performance, just more power than stock. I drive my truck everday and tow my camaro to the track. I'm not looking to put in a stall, and I don't want to lose any towing power. I choose a cam as a mod not just because of a performace gain, but because of the sound also. I want to hear it.
I have quite a few questions about this, but I'll start here:
What max lift will the '03 5.3L springs handle? Reason me asking is I have a hot cam layin' around that I used to have in my camaro and would like to know if I would have to change the valvesprings if I decide to use it.(hotcam=.525/.525)
Do you think the hotcam would perform like I described above? If not any suggestions would be helpful.
