5.3 cam/valvetrain upgrade

5.3 cam/valvetrain upgrade
hey folks,
so i have a 5.3 in my 2003 suburban. mods go as follows, k&n intake system, lsxrt manifold, shorty headers, magnaflow y pipe, 2.5in. x2 cat back, e fans, and a bullydog tune (will get custom tune when this is all done).
the next logical step is valvetrain to me, so i did some research on cams and such. im leaning towards a lingenfelter gt2-3. thoughts on this? also, would i have to do anything to the bottom end for valve clearance? im open to other cam options as well, so throw them out if you have any.
