Default 5.3 Cam swap

Quick question about a cam swap, so my current truck 08 avalanche 5.3 engine is gone, I have a spare 5.3 out of a 2013 tahoe that needs a camshaft, and i have a 6.2 engine out of a 2013 Yukon. My question is can I take the cam out of the 6.2 and put it in the 5.3 and run it with no tune, thank you.

I suppose you could, it's not much bigger than the 5.3 camshaft and wouldn't really change much.

You will still have to rob parts from your 2008 engine though. The 2010+ 5.3's all run VVT and the 6.2's from 2007+ have VVT.

Your 2008 engine was AFM/DoD only with no VVT. You will need to steal the front cover and camshaft sensor from your 2008 engine and put those on the newer engine.
