That has almost the exact same IVC but a later EVC to help get the added air volume out. You will hear the added overlap. This is just an example.
I wanted to be a little more aggressive sounding then it was if possible with gaining some torque.

That 230/244 114+3 sounds about what I'm after. Just a little bigger for a little bigger motor.

What do you think about Cam Motions 232/242 .621/ .604 114 cam. Sounds like it fits my setup pretty good by description.

Also found Night fury grind 233/242 .629 .629 113+3.

Don't mind doing a custom grind just found these that are close to what your example is. Thanks for your help.

The LS3 heads like the big split to the exhaust - those would work out well in my opinion, but if I were you I would have a cam spec'd and not get an off the shelf cam.

I have 427ci and stock ls3 heads L92 intake but that is pretty close to your setup. running a 4l80e and my converter is pretty tight at 2200rpm and 3.73's right now (5.13's are in the mail as we speak).

I really like how it drives. It's a little pissy when it's cold(50deg or less ambient temp), but I let coolant temps get up to around 100deg and it drives great.

With that ported intake you could probably run it at +3 and see how it does. The 6L80 has better gearing in 1st so I bet it'd drive even better.
Yeah I asked you how it drove last week. I haven't ruled it out but from what I have read I would be sacrificing torque in mid range. I called BTR and he was very hesitant to recommend this cam to me but curious of how good it would perform in the truck with the setup. He has not called me back with his recommendation yet.

My first gear is pretty non existent with the 4.10s. Hell when I did burnouts I always went to second gear. I cut 1.9 60ft times with the 22s just had to let some air out and put a 100lb of so in the back. lol

Then you'd want something right in the middle probably

BTR has a LS3 Stage IV 3 Bolt Cam 233/250 .619"/.595" 113+5

Funny I don't see him advertising the stage 3 stroker cam anymore

They must have just taken it down this week. I did find a couple builds that were not happy with the 400+ stroker cam. I need to order one today ready to put this rig back together. Im not scared to change the cam again if Im not happy with it but would rather get what I want the first time.

I had a hard time finding any info on stroker cams - but I'm happy with what I have.

It may be a little big for a daily - but my gears make up for a lot in driveability. If my converter wasn't so tight it'd be a lot better I imagine as well. I think technically it's still a medium size cam in the grand scheme of things.

And that's good you aren't afraid to switch cams again - I got the split timing cover for that very reason if I wasn't happy with this cam. I may go smaller if I find one for sale used somewhere. Everyone always try's to dial in the perfect cam the first time (myself included), but you probably need to try three cams to find the one you like the best.

What pistons do you have? Have you ever checked PTV clearance?

Manley stroker pistons from CBM - I think they are 10cc dish because of the relief cuts. flat tops with relief cuts for both int and exh

I checked with a bigger cam I had in it first and was good to go. keep in mind I also run a .040" cometic head gasket and .030" or .025" shaved L92 heads.

My stroker cam specs posted above I wasn't worried at all since it was less overall duration and lift than my first cam.

nice looking motor. We went with nearly the same color scheme...
