OP,

Check out our Pro LS 408 rotating assemblies. These feature a tempered and nitride-hardened 4340 forged crank with lightened rod journals, gun-drilled mains, and profiled counterweights. Maximum journal tolerances of +/- .0001" to ensure consistent bearing clearance. Straight-shot oiling for maximum oil film strength at the maximum load angle The pistons are modern 2618 forgings designed for boost and nitrous. They have thick ring lands for durability. The rods are top-notch 4340 H-beams precision-honed in the USA to +/- .0001". The rods come out of the box with ARP-2000 7/16 rod bolts with 200,000 psi tensile strength. That's typically an upgrade option for other rod manufacturers. To top it off these come with a premium ring pack. They include steel top rings designed for boost and nitrous with Napier-hook second rings for maximum strength and oil control.

The kits are good for 1,000 whp out of the box. Past that we recommend a wrist pin upgrade such as our SUM-S719-8 H-13 tool steel pins with 289,000 PSI tensile strength. We also have the SUM-S720 H-13 pins with a DLC coating for even more durability and the added benefit of lower friction.
