anyone here running a boosted 383? what are your specs? power numbers

I would run a boosted 370 before a 383. stroker cranks seem to cut engine life shorter than stock cranks. gm sells a forged stock stroke crank from the ctsv for a bargain.

A boosted 408 at that lol. It wasnt my choice. I bought it with the 408

I tend to agree with stew. 370 over 383 all day.

yep. and a 383 is more in my budget right now. I like more cubes and its a little different

If you want cubes, spend the same and get a 408. 383 doesnt make sense bang for buck wise.

That is a good deal.

I still think if you can source a 6.0 with a good crank it could be done for less. Sure youre giving up some cubes, but the stock stroke is strong, and they tend to live far longer lives before piston slap, or oil consumption are an issue.
