Default 408 stroke help.

I'm on the process of building my first 408 stroker. And have some questions our advice from more experience guys. I'm doing and N/A all motor. Build. Hopping for 500+HP
My set up
Ly6 6.0 block
K-1 4.00 stroker crank
Eagle or k1 or manley rods. Still debating.
L92/ls3 heads with 68cc (still deciding were to order them from)
I'm dropping this 408 stroker on my 2012 gmc Sierra 1500.

1st Have been doing some google research and according on what I found 07^ have a 58t reluctor. So I should have a 58t as well??

What pistons would you recommend. Flat top je pistons or wiseco -3cc??

What would be a good Cam for this set up??

I don't haul anything and is for drag strip/
street racing. I was looking at 247/263 with a 0.624 lift

Thanks in advance for all the help. I'm still new and learning so any advice will be appreciated.

man i'm gonna like this post hahaha!

yes youll need a 58T wheel. i made over 500 rwhp with my 408. id go diamond pistons just prefer them over any others. yes flat top -3 i think is what mine are, try and push 11.85 or 12 cr yes you can run it on pump gas i do, but i like pushing the extra degree of timing like 38 total with race gas, didnt gain nothing over that cam i run a 252/264 621 i run the ls3 heads but if you really wanna make her shine get some 235 tfs heads fully ported gears well my truck was a all out NA truck before the nitrous and i ran 4:88 gears bitch would luanch like no other, suspension will be needed though haha

enjoy this should be interesting thread !

Default 408 stroke help.

I'm on the right track for 500+HP that's good. Compression I would like to stay around 11.5. _tfs heads sound really good but dam ($2400) think all stay with some around $1500 our less. The only places I have look at is Texas-speed shop summit. Jegs. Is there another the you would recommend?? But I'm sticking with ls3/l92 heads ported heads With .650 lift. What stall converter would you recommend for this 5k lbs truck.

What kind of intake you plan on running? Mine is lq4 based with Compstar crank and rods with wiseco +5 Pistons, stock l92 heads, a 25*\26* cam, victor jr, and accufab 4500. Compression is right at 12.3:1 and on c16 made around 580 through an 80e, on just 93 made 540's.

I run a k1 crank, weisco -3 pistons and compstar rods.
my old 240 246 cam worked well.
you will need a x58 reluctor wheel.
what converter are you planning on running? those rec ports and a cam that large will need a fairly loose converter

What would you recommend. Most treads the I was reading were using a square port. Some one recommended a 4000k converter.
