Default 408 q's

toying with the idea of a 6.0 to 408 swap i see alot of people going to a 408 what kind of work is it to keep it running and how often do you have to work on it i dont want something to carry to the track and spend the whole week working on for the next weekend

For the 1500 miles i've driven mine, its just as reliable as stock. I drive it almost everyday and haven't had a single problem.

It you don't go to crazy it is just as reliable as stock. I get 16.5 hwy mpg, and drive it every day. Only problem I have had is tranny problems, but that is now fixed with an FLT 4l80e.

I have no problems ... Mine's not wild, but it's not real tame either. The biggest problem I have is idle tuning, but that's got a lot to blame on exhaust leak. That would be there no matter what motor was in the truck.

+1 to what these guys have said. Get a reputable builder and have it done right the first time and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
