Default 4.8 DD cam help

Im looking for a cam that will give me a little extra power but wont kill my gas mileage due to my truck being a daily driver. its a 2005 vortec 4.8 with 98,000 miles on it. Any suggestions?

U will need a tune with a cam and I could get a 206/212 cam also

yeah your best bet is a comp 212/218 low lift, or honestly 206/212 would be your best bet with the stock converter, but i've heard that the 212/218 does just fine without a converter. if it were me, i would do the 210/218 which has pretty low lift, so the stock valvesprings should be completely fine. the stock springs would work fine in all of them but the 210/218 has the lowest lift. look at the baby cam thread, lots of good info there.

Cam Motion has 206/212 cams with lifts varying from .527 to .561.

here's the "baby cam thread" lots of info on good daily driver, stock converter cams, that still make good power.
