Thumbs down 4.3 to 5.3 swap cam help needed

Ok I am new at building up of a truck so here is what i have its a 2000 silverado ecsb with a 4.3 4l60e 2wd. I just bought a 5.3 wiring harnes ecu alternator motor mounts complete assy i even pulled it to ensure no cut wires even took all the fuel lines heater hose ac hoses. I drive 40 miles to work each day and 40 miles home the 5.3 is out, so engine mods will be easier being i dont have to have it ready to drive to work over the weekends. I tow a 3500lb load on the weekends and was wanting to know what cam to use for good power and not a loss on fuel mileage of course i am doing the usual aready have k&n drop in filter and magnaflow muffler with stock tailpipe. I also plan for a custom tune not a handheld i have picked up so far that there no replacment for a good custom tune thanks for all input

pretty much anything under 220 duration. The more duration you add the higher up the rpm's you go before you pick up power.

Keeping that in mind you need to make the decision based on how much low end you are willing to give up.
my 216/220duration 525/532lift 114LSA feels okay with a 3000 stall but I'd prefer 3400-3600 for full effect.

You should really use the search to read a few of the hundreds of other cam threads asking the exact same question. Once you learn what the duration/lift/lsa mean for power, you can then make a decision. There are several threads explaining where cams make power.

Hope that helps. (mods in sig)
