Default 370 and cam/whats everyone got

Just courious what the guys with 370 are running. Im undesided on a cam and im looking for advise. The motor is going to have a radix install. It will be the 122 in the end so i would like to build for that. Im still in the build process and i want to get this done soon. Im running -14.9cc diamond pistons and the valvetrain hasnt been desided on yet because of the cam. The head are going to be p&p 317's. Also im going to have a cr of 9 to 9.5-1. Any help for the 370 guys would be helpful.

i'm building a 370 right now myself, I have 2 choices of cams that I already have. one is a 218/218 the other a 238/242 the 218 i think would be almost like a stock cam in a 370 with good heads... this build will be 11:1 and see nitrous so I'm thinking the 238/242 will be best, the next build i will swap out the pistons for lower compression and build a turbo kit. something in the mid 220s to low 230s but geared to the boost and you'll be fine.

I have been thinking about a 228/232 cam on a 115. Im unsure on what to use and what lift or lsa to get. I dont want alot of overlap for boost purposes.

i'll tell you my opinion on cams now that i've been around the business for a while. these "shelf" cams are all good for their target audience, however, given the specifics of each given setup a custom cam picked out by whoever is qualified to do so is night and day over one of these "shelf" cams. say a vindicator in a 370 makes 450rwhp with ported 6.0 heads, a more "proper" cam, designed for the ported heads and extra cubic inches probably makes more peak power (over 450rwhp) however will almost ALWAYS make more power EVERYWHERE since it has been built with each specific mod in mind rather than generalized in someone's head and thrown into the market

Ditto, plus you can have one custom ground for the same price. So why not get one thats spec'd for your setup.
