Default 2500hd nv4500 build.

I posted a while ago about this build and was unsure of the direction I was headed. I ended up buying a rebuilt 6.0 bored .20 over flat top pistons 799 heads not ported with a btr stage 3 truck cam. Tbss intake rails and injectors. It’s getting electric fan conversion billet fly wheel centerforce clutch. 1 7/8 long tubes x pipe into two black widow mufflers. Just wondering where you guys think it will be sitting power wise. It’s getting put together next week just figured I’d see what all of you thought.

With a good tune I'd guess just shy of 400 wheel. Are you gonna have a dyno tune, street tune or both?

It’s going to be street tuned then ran on the dyno. I would be thrilled with close to 400.

This should be a sweet little build! What clutch did you go with? I have a centerforce dual friction single disk and love it!

400 to the wheels would be sweet through the 14bolt. I've always wondered in how the NV4500 compares to 4l60/80 as far as parasitic drivetrain loss goes.

How do you like that clutch towing?

I haven’t installed it yet. It’s going in the same time as the motor

Ahh gotcha interested to know how you like. Mines been good for the couple hundred miles I have on it. Mostly putting around town or WOT pulls, no towing or 4x4ing yet.

Post some pics of the truck not many manual trans guys around.

I know of a handful of guys running them in mid 90s trucks making pretty serious power and truck pulling them with great results. I’m hoping for the same out of mine. I actually just got the truck out of winter storage yesterday and we got 2” of snow. I don’t have any pictures of the truck on my new phone but I will get some in the coming days. It isn’t anything too special yet. Just a basic ecsb 4x4 with some dents. Once the mechanical stuff is done and how I want it will get a face lift.

What year is it? Silverado or Sierra? I've secretly been looking for a GMC 2500 6.0 nv4500 4x4 preferably CCSB or ECSB. Just as a backup daily/towrig/adventuremobile/gotta collect all GMT800 body styles. Lol
