Default 243 heads, what rods?

I just got a set of 243 heads that were milled .030 and I am installing them into my 04 5.3 ecsb. I am also installing a 212/218 low lift. Can i use the stock rods? The reason I am asking is because I know many people have this cam and head combo. I am just trying to get all my pieces before I tear into my truck.

Thanks for the help in advance

5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 all have the same rod and stroke length. So it should be a no issue.

The heads don't have any effect on the rods...

Werd! ^

Best best is to spend $20 on the Length Checker and make sure it's right. $20 now can save you $100s down the road.

I would spend the $100 on a set of good pushrods. Why tear back into the engine later to fix it, since it's already that far apart now. It will probably need 7.375 pushrods, but like they said, best bet is to check.
