Yes I know I'm aware tht a 5.3 is not a ls1(5.7) I was just referring to it since it has a smaller bore thn most stroker engines nd is lil bit closer to a 5.3 bore

 

thats a big a** cam and yes stokers run big cams like my 408 but i also have a rcsb with a 4400 stall along with my big a** cam lol i would do most is a tsp 228 and thats if u had heads higher cr and better intake but i know nothing lol

Too much cam, not enough converter. Step down to a 22x size and up to a bigger verter. It will be a total dog below 4k.

 

That's bigger than I run in my 408...

I run a similar cam (slightly bigger) in the NA 427 with 245cc heads in my 3200# vette.

It's too much cam for a 5.3 in a truck by 15-20*

 

Cam would be whorrrrible in a 5.3L. That would be an all out track truck cam for that little cubes.
