Default 2003 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 ffv Cam and converter options

I have a Tahoe that I was looking to put a cam and new torque converter in. I usually run 37s and have a 3.73 rear end. Not looking for much just a nice sound with a little gain in horse power. Just looking to get some input on what y’all think would be the best and most practical setup to put into my Tahoe. Thanks!
edit: not trying to make serious power upgrades or spend a ton of money.

With 37's you would need like a 4:56 or higher gear. That alone would get you back to a normal feeling acceleration. In my opinion That would be the best first mod.

From there. Any Stage 2 or 3 type cam kit. At minimum a 2600-3200 stall will compliment the cam.

The OE tire size is near a 30 inch tall tire with a 1:1 Ratio you would be at 2715 RPM at 65 MPH with 3;73. If you follow that chart down to 37 with 3:73 the RPM drops to 2203 at 65 MPH. if you swap to a 4:56 with a 37 inch tire the brings you back to 2692 at 65 MPH.

At 0.69 ratio for final over drive it will be less but this just illustrates the roll the ratio plays.

Edit: found a different one so you can see the difference side by side. https://spicerparts.com/calculators/...rpm-calculator

Upgrading your Tahoe with a cam and a new torque converter sounds like a fun project! Since you're running 37s and have a 3.73 rear end, you’ll want a cam that enhances sound and gives you a slight horsepower boost without sacrificing drivability. A mild cam, like one with a duration around 212-224 degrees, should provide that nice growl while still being practical for daily driving.
