I highly doubt the 1* of LSA makes up the 15hp difference

Yea it will SlowZ71! I'm moving to the San Fernando area, basically North LA. Thanks for the link Pocket. Doesn't look too different. Putting a cam in eventually anyways but it looks like my 99 engine should be up to par by using the 00+ injectors and an aftermarket tune

So I got the truck running on the old smaller injectors. It wasn't really an issue because they used the same motor and everything for the first half of 2000 and switched everything halfway through 2000.

I'm wondering if its worth rewiring the whole harness for the bigger injectors? I have a donor harness and the injectors. I just don't want to waste my time on it if it isn't worth it.

you don't have to rewire anything. If you currently have the 99 smaller injectors just get the bigger 00-02 injectors and pop em in. The main thing you will have to do is switch to an 02 Operating system or retune for the larger injectors

Well my 00+ injectors have a larger plug on them. I think they changed the the wiring harness when they switched to the different injectors. Otherwise I would have swapped them out when I was putting the new engine in.

yeah, I believe the 4.8 was 235 in 1999 and 270 in 2000. Huge hike. What is responsible for that? Cam and tune?

Honestly, what I would do is make the move to Cali as is, and then when I get there and get some of that money together, get the cams, keep the injectors and do the work out there...for time sake. Since these guys on here are around the same area, they would probably want to get their hands dirty too, so it should only take a matter of hours.
