Default 1987 GMC 350 mod help needed!!

I have a stock 1987 GMC Sierra pickup with a stock 350 fuel injected engine and would like to begin modifying and I don't know where to start. The only mods I have done is headers and true dual exhaust. What intake, heads, cam etc. should I go with? The car will be street only and want good power increase without breaking the bank, etc (don't we all!).

Thanks!!

First of all ditch the fuel injection (this might surprise some people), and install a carb. I say this because your tranny is more likely a 700R4 not computer controlled. After that get a Summit and Jegs catalog and start your wish list because it will soon grow very large with all the small block performance parts.

Both places have really cheap cams <$100, lifter <$100, valve springs <$100. You can easily pick up a set of aluminum heads off EBay for pretty cheap.

swap the intake and get a carb, do a cam swap, maybe some performance heads, or you can port and polish them yourself, and if its a 700r4 it will go sooner or later, when it does get a 400 turbo, you wont be disappointed
