18psi on tr6s ?
#1
Looks like are track is opening the 15th of march and I plan to head out and gun for a new best, right now I'm running tr6 plugs at whatever they were pre gapped to on 10psi, been that way throw the winter. It seems like the cold starts and mpg is a little better on the e85 with these plugs then it was with the br7s, I plan to run up to 18 psi, e85, 15 degrees timing when I go out, so should go back with the br7s at this boost level or just gap the tr6s tighter and roll with them? If so what gap should I run on them? I had my br7s at .22 if I remember right. I know foose04 and stock48 both ran tr6s on 20psi without any problems so I just wanted a little input. Thanks.

A lot of ppl on here say 7s are required but I hated them! Bad mpg and rough idle sometimes. And I feel like I lost low end part throttle tq too. So I went back with tr6s gapped .025 and haven't looked back since. Been up to 16 ish psi and trapped 126 mph with a ext cab 5.3. This is on 93 and meth.

Dang I posted this it the wrong section some how lol o well, but yeah I noticed all of what you just said on mine aswell that's why I wanted to try and keep the tr6s, I know most say just run br7s and keep it safe but nice Driveability is vary important to me so I'd like to keep them. Sounds like .25 to .28 on the tr6s keep them from blowing out so I might try that and see how it does
