Default 06 L33 Questions

I Have A 06 Silverado With The Vin Code B The L33 Option I Know That It Has The Aluminum Block, I Heard I Has Ls2 Heads, What Is The Horse Power And Torque Ratings? Is The Cam Different, What Is The Aproxx. Weight?/thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its an all aluminum 5.3 with 310hp not sure on torque

The motor is 75# lighter than an iron block. I don't know about the cam. The heads should be 799 casting. The motor has flat tops.

yes the heads are the same as they used on the LS2.

Cool, I knew I had different heads but didn't know which ones. Is 799 the correct casting #? The chamber has to be quite a bit smaller though, right?

The cam is different too but I dont know the specs off-hand and yes, the L33's have flat top pistons.

I heard the block is closer to 100lb lighter?

Welcome to the L33 club.

There are not too many out there.
These engines with the better heads, and higher compression, respond well to mods.

You're a couple steps ahead of the LM7 guys.
