Default 03 Silverado Cam Help

what do yall think?
i was thinking of the 224 112 lsa but idk...the truck is a 2003 rcsb 5.3, no towing... mostly daily driving but some racing (both street and track). i will have pacesetter lts and ory and a cold air and black bear tune before the cam and hopefully stall not to long after i get the cam. what do yall think?

I would do the stall first and then the cam.

why stall first? jw...would it hurt anything if i put the cam in first? or could i go to a smaller cam? i wanna do a stall eventually but want cam first...does anyone know of any other cam packages?

it would be a turd down low with a 224r and stock converter, as you get to about 3000rpm it would then haul pretty good.

You gotta pay to play and if you are not serious about getting a stall soon Id go lower on the cam like a 212/218 or something similar. The stock converter would run decent on that cam (212/218).

Where would i find a good quality cam package in that size? Thanks for the help... I dont think i wanna go with a bigger stall for a while is why im thinking about a smaller cam...

the shopping cart does not work for us but texas speed has what I was talking about in a package deal.

Select the cam package #1 for your truck then select the Options and scroll down and you will see it at the very bottom of the list 212/218 HIGH LIFT camshaft. Then select your lsa I would not go lower than 112lsa. All you need with that cam is the pac1218 beehive springs.

tsp 220 wasn't that bad without the stall, even better with it thou

The Vinci Trucker on a stock stall is great .... a 2600 stall later on would be a great setup
