It'll give you a similiar lope nothing erratic but a converter with a speed rating of 2400-2600 or so would really benefit but not really necessary. I know lots of guys have stated it really makes a difference in the higher RPM range.

i have Z06 cam in my 03 yukon denali, you wont see any different at idle or at low RPM, I actually think, i lost little bit of power low end.
but as soon as you hit 3000RPM+ you'll notice difference, both sound and power.

been there done that, a year later i have the cam in my sig. this is a "beginning, not totally sure what you want or your final goals are" kinda cam. all it did was make me want to go bigger, for what it is and what the ultimate cost is though, its a bargain. i dont have any pre/post dyno information but i was running it with my stock converter, not that bad but it was doggy down low, pulled great up high but in the end, it just ended up costing me way more money than if i would have really thought about what i wanted to have in the end....but if you are plannning on going FI anytime soon, go for it..BTW, mine had no lope, little different tone but no noticable lope.
