How about you, Gonzo? You ready for a stock 2014 5.3 after getting used to your fire-breather?

I have a hankering for the new body, then with all the incentives and my GM card offer.

But I wont do a 5.3,only way is a 6.2 NHT. I will wait for the 015 with the 8sp and may be able to get a LT by then.

How about you?

I haven't driven a '14 yet but I sure like the specs and what other guys are saying about them. Just to save money I'm kind of leaning more toward FI on my '11 right now but that could change if I ever go drive a new one.

One thing I really didn't like on the BYO site is that as soon as I check the box for a 6.2 it automatically upgrades the wheels to 20" and the price goes up another $1,300 - making the motor a $2,300 option. Holy crap!

I still have reservations about the first year of production with all this new technology, it just might be smart to be cautious and let 'em get it a little more sorted out. 8-speed in the '15s you say? That's interesting too!

Maybe you might be interested in my PKG.If get a wild hair and put it back stock.

For me its a matter of getting enough for my 010 and the right deal on the right new truck.

I just might ... keep in touch!

As far as getting enough for the old one AND the right deal on the right new one - that's the tricky part!

you are correct,it does add 20" wheels when you click the box for max trailer PKG. In our days the NHT max trailer would only come with 17s only way to get 20s was 3.42 gear.

Funny thing I found a 014 LTZ double cab that has 6.2 and max tow with 18s and a $200 all terrain tire add..maybe dealer pulled them off,and off there MSRP

How did you get there? GM credit card redemption? loyalty coupon? If you can break it down it could be useful for some here.
