With these new trucks a huge part of the cost on FI is gone with having to build a fuel system to hold the power. The factory gave it to is with the '14, so yes I 100% stand behind the idea that a complete turbo setup ( capable of much more power )can be built for roughly if not less than half of that $6500 blower.

I do find it odd that the blowers coming out for the k2xx trucks don't include injectors and fuel pump, yet the price is still the same. Also a Whipple 2.9 is way overkill for a stock block so that adds a little bit of unnecessary cost. With that said I still don't think you can do a turbo kit for nearly half that of equal quality. You still need to come up with a tune and figure out how to connect the exhaust. The tune costs money, and so does finding someone to weld the exhaust using stainless pipe and filler. Then there might be other little thing you find you need along the way because its not a 100% complete kit. While I do agree it will still come out much cheaper, total cost will be higher than you think. Plus some of us just like PD blowers. If it was all about getting fast for cheaper, I doubt we would be driving trucks.

All my comment was saying is that te cost involved makes one a better option. I have no preference to either way of achieving boost.

are you trolling? Show me a $3000 turbo kit that has a proper BRAND turbo, a proper intercooler, no shitty iron log manifold, oxygen sensors that read from each bank separately, check valves, oil adapters for feed and drain lines, cold air intake with a filter and so on.

$6500 is pretty affordable for a fully bolt on 2.9l supercharger kit that works right out of the box with full instructions and a base tune and hasn't been manufactured in someone's driveway.

I just went to trick's website and their top of the line single turbo package for GM vehicles costs $6420 (im guessing with a journal bearing turbo) and their twin turbo kit costs $6900.

A no ****'s given twin turbo kit system like the one that New Era Performance manufactures costs north of $10k. different strokes for different folks.
