I have a 5" .120 wall 6061 T-6 aluminum with a Sonnax billet yoke. 135mph plus for a good stretch and no issues. It mostly comes down to the speed that the drive shaft is spinning that makes them come apart. Driveshaft Specialist in San Antonio made mine. They said I would break the diff before I broke the drive shaft.

Yup driveshaft specialist built mine as well and no problems 5" .120 wall same as Slapps74. The problem with the CC and EC trucks is the length of the shaft, its just too damn long. Your best bet is a two piece shaft and making a crossmeber for it while getting the correct driveline anlges. Weve done several trucks and we can go 130+ with not a single issue.

I need to do the same. I have to already get the driveshaft shortneded so I might as well have a new one built
